Visualization grad students animate moments of “discovery”
This summer, graduate viz students worked alongside mentors from renowned animation studios to create four short, animated videos.
In this year’s virtual, 10-week Summer Industry Workshop, graduate visualization students portrayed a “moment of discovery” by creating short, photorealistic animated videos while mentored by artists from seven leading animation studios and viz prof Mayet Andreassen.
Mentors hailed from Brazen Animation, Blue Sky Studios*, Dreamworks Animation, Industrial Light and Magic, MPC Films*, Reel FX and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
