Research Assistance Scholarships

Undergraduate or graduate students who are currently engaged in scholarly or creative work research within the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts are eligible. Research may include independent research through LAUNCH program, faculty-led activities, etc. Funds may be used for equipment, software, fabric, music rights, etc. needed to conduct research.

Requirements

Minimum GPR

  • Undergraduate Student: 3.0
  • Graduate Student: 3.5

Full-time student in the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts

  • Undergraduate Students: Enrolled in 12 credit hours at Texas A&M University and declared major in the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts
  • Graduate Students: Enrolled in 9 credit hours at Texas A&M University and declared major in the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts

Steps to Apply and Application Deadline

Complete an application for Academic School Year 2023-2024 (Fall 2023/Spring 2024) and submit it along with other criteria as noted below.

Current Texas A&M School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts students should complete the application page and return it along with your cover letter, resume and an essay including the description of your research, progress and plans, and how these funds will assist you on your research journey.

Deadline for this scholarship is ongoing and will be accepted throughout the academic year. Please submit all criteria in one email to johnabinajm@tamu.edu. Please note in the subject line your full name and the name of the scholarship you are applying for. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Notification will occur within 3-4 weeks upon receiving your application.
