Small Ensembles Students Present Annual Spring Concert With Trombone Choir On Tuesday

Texas A&M students in the Small Ensembles courses will present their annual spring concert with the Texas A&M Trombone Choir on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Admission is free.

Ensemble performances will include a string quartet; a piano and string trio; solo trombone and piano; saxophone trio; and the Trombone Choir.

For the first time in 15 years, Dr. David Wilborn, associate professor, will have a fellow Performance Studies faculty member coaching the students during the concert: Virginia Figueiredo, instructional associate professor in music for woodwinds.

Figueiredo’s students will have five performances:

 Anton Dvorak’s String Quartet No. 12, “American,” Op. 96, Movement 1.
