Scholarship Application Details

Undergraduate or graduate majors in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts who are part of a semesterlong Texas A&M Study Abroad or Texas A&M Study Exchange program are eligible for the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts’ Study Away Scholarship. This includes students studying abroad in another country, participating in the national student exchange program through the Texas A&M Global Engagement Office, enrolling in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts’ satellite Fort Worth program or participating in a field trip which must be tied to a course.

Please note, internships do not qualify for Study Away Scholarships. These scholarships are only applied toward the semester’s tuition during which the study away happens.

Requirements

  • Must be a current major in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts and a registered freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate during time of expected travel
  • Must be an approved Texas A&M or College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts Study Abroad or Study Exchange program
  • Minimum GPR
    • Undergraduate Student: 2.75
    • Graduate Student: 3.5
  • Full-time student in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts
    • Undergraduate Students: Enrolled in 12 credit hours or more while away on the Texas A&M University program
    • Graduate Students: Enrolled in 9 credit hours or more while away on the Texas A&M University program

Steps to Apply and Application Deadline

Submissions for Study Away applications are as follows:

Step One

Complete an application for any study abroad, national student exchange or College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts Fort Worth program and submit it along with other criteria as noted below.

Step Two

All current Texas A&M College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts students must complete the application and submit it along with your cover page, resume, responses to prompted questions and a one- to two-page study away essay.

Students must submit their application by the deadline below:

  • For those studying abroad in the winter mini-mester, applications are due December 1 before the winter mini-mester.
  • For those studying on a national student exchange program or education abroad program in the spring semester, applications are due January 1 before the spring semester.
  • For those studying on an education abroad program in the summer semester, applications are due May 1 before the summer semester.
  • For those studying on a College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts Fort Worth program, national student exchange program or education abroad program in the fall semester, applications are due July 1 before the fall semester.
