BIOGRAPHY

Daniel Humphrey joined Texas A&M University in 2008. He teaches courses in Film Studies, Performance Studies, Women’s & Gender Studies, and Queer Theory. He is the author of Queer Bergman: Sexuality, Gender, and the European Art Cinema (2013) and Archaic Modernism: Queer Poetics in the Cinema of Pier Paolo Pasolini (2020) and numerous articles on queer film, horror cinema, auteur filmmaking, Swedish cinema, and European modernist film. He is active in the Society for Cinema and Media Studies and is Co-Chair of its Nordic Studies Scholarly Interest Group.
