Students ages 15 and up who are interested in the Texas A&M University Theatre program can come into the classroom for a typical day in the life of a Theatre major. Registered participants will take two classes with Theatre faculty and meet current Theatre students. Please note that the Day of Theatre is geared toward high school juniors and seniors interested in attending Texas A&M and majoring in Theatre.
General Schedule
Parents will drop participants off between 9:30 and 10 a.m. at the Liberal Arts and Arts & Humanities Building (LAAH). Check-in will be located in the lobby of the first floor. No late check-ins are accepted. Please bring a water bottle. Students will spend the day with faculty and current students, taking classes and learning about our program. Lunch will be provided. The last class for participants will end at 3 p.m., after which Rayna Dexter, academic program director, will talk in more detail about the program here at Texas A&M. The informational session will be followed by a brief showcase of theatrical works by current Theatre majors. Parents are welcome to attend the Informational Session and Student Showcase (3-5 p.m. in the LAAH Black Box Theater).

We will host one Day of Theatre each spring, which can be used as an audition and interview for high school seniors, transfer students or change-of-major students.
