Undergraduate Degrees
The College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts houses five undergraduate majors: Dance Science; Music Performance; Performance and Visual Studies; Theatre; and Visualization.


Dance Science
Bachelor of ScienceThe B.S. in Dance Science offers students the opportunity to combine the aesthetics of dance with the sciences that govern it. The curriculum includes dance research, anatomy, nutrition, injury prevention/care, biomechanical principles within dance technique, and conditioning.

Music Performance
Bachelor of Fine ArtsThe B.F.A. in Music Performance offers a comprehensive grounding in music, while emphasizing the intersections of music with other art forms such as dance, theatre, game design and the visual arts. Coursework includes musical performance, interdisciplinary collaboration, music theory and musicianship, music technology and music business.

Performance and Visual Studies
Bachelor of ArtsThe B.A. in Performance and Visual Studies enhances students’ critical thinking, analytical abilities and writing skills. It fosters innovative research, artistic experimentation and critical engagement with cultural and social issues, and it equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the performing and visual arts.

Theatre
Bachelor of Fine ArtsThe B.F.A. in Theatre prepares you for careers onstage, backstage and offstage through collective creation and collaborative production, rooted in an ethic of care. The program is centered in a practice-based approach to the many facets of theatre-making, including performance, design and production.

Visualization
Bachelor of ScienceThe B.S. in Visualization integrates technical prowess with visual artistry. Students become technical artists through studio-based classes that integrate fine arts, three-dimensional design and digital technology. Focus areas include animation/visual effects; game design and development; and interactive design.

The College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts offers a graduate certificate in Film and Media Studies. This is an interdisciplinary concentration in the study of film and other visual- and sound-based media that will enhance their major field of study.
