Biography

Dr. Jinsil Hwaryoung Seo is an interactive artist/researcher who investigates the aesthetics of experiences in the context of interactive art, education, and healthcare. She has always pushed the envelope for art/design beyond the traditional style into extreme forms/materials/technologies that cultivate affection, immersion, and aesthetic experience within areas of interactive installation, performance, and immersive environments. Her recent research and creative practice focus on augmenting the human experience with interactive and immersive technology. Her research and creative works aim to engage diverse audiences who could benefit from embodied and immersive interaction through research and creative activities. Her works have been published and exhibited in various peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and art/design festivals in tangible/embodied interaction, interactive arts/design, participatory art, AR/VR, and learning technology.
