Students interested in the art and science of dance can thrive at Texas A&M University. We offer dancer wellness and technique courses focused on proper biomechanics, along with choreography, performance and research opportunities. Our graduates go on to perform professionally, teach dance or explore ways to incorporate dance with therapy.
We offer a bold, one-of-a-kind experience in musical education. Our accomplished faculty members help students to discover their artistic voice while mastering the foundations of music. Whether you’re onstage, in the studio or collaborating across art forms, this is the place to transform your passion into powerful, original performance.
A unique opportunity is emerging on stages at Texas A&M University: learning how to build a theatrical production from the ground up. With an emphasis on devised theatre, our faculty members help students create original works and build broad expertise in the skills necessary to collaboratively develop and mount theatrical productions.
Students looking to pursue a career in visual arts will find a wide array of opportunities here. From animation to video game design, virtual reality to virtual production, we offer the opportunity to explore the creation and development of the visual experience by learning the equal importance of art, technology, science and design.
Technology is deeply rooted in our mission, giving students a foundation in innovation and expertise in digital literacy. Computing methods are the building blocks that make this possible. Students learn how artists have new opportunities for creation through programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning and human-computer interaction.
Through storytelling, communication, research and analysis, writing plays a significant role in the arts. We prepare students to pursue career paths that value the ability to analyze the history and cultural context of art, developing critical assessment skills that will serve them in their careers or in continuing their academic training.
