Exploring the Intersection of Art and Technology

The Institute for Applied Creativity (IAC) is excited to introduce the inaugural Texas A&M University Emerging Creatives, a dynamic platform designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among Texas A&M students. This initiative provides an experimental playground where creativity meets technology, enabling students from diverse disciplines to explore new frontiers in interactive and immersive design.

We invite you to join us in an exciting two-day event centered around inflatables — innovative, responsive structures that blend art, engineering and movement to create engaging and transformative experiences.

This event is an opportunity to collaborate, experiment and push creative boundaries while working alongside fellow students, faculty and guest artists.

Interactive Inflatables

Pre-Event: Technology Demo and Introduction

Date: April 4, 2025
Time: 2-4 p.m.
Location: ARCC 206B (VIRL)

This session will provide an introduction to the technologies of making interactive inflatables. Get hands-on experience with the tools, materials and methods used in this emerging creative field.

Main Event

Date: April 11, 2025
Time: 2-6 p.m.
Location: ARCC 206B (VIRL)

Call for Participants

Join us for a collaborative, hands-on experience where participants will engage in designing, constructing and activating inflatables. Explore how inflatables can become responsive, performative and transformative environments through movement, air and digital interactivity.
