Artists And Scholars In Residence
The Artists and Scholars in Residence Committee strives to inspire artists, our campus and our community by incubating new works, facilitating collaborations across disciplinary lines and between mediums, and developing new models for the curricular integration of arts practice and arts research.

The Committee Offers Two Signature Programs:
We foster creative works, creative people, creative scholarship and an environment of creative reciprocity that prompts artists and scholars to transcend established boundaries.

A competitive residency program supporting the development of new bodies of work by interdisciplinary artists. The New Work Development Artist Residency is designed to build on these existing areas of strength, and the college’s emerging areas of new research.

The Summer Happening is an opportunity to create and reflect during a week of collaborative artmaking and research. The event is open to faculty, students and community members.
