‘The Blueprint’

This gallery installation and performance series was curated by Elijah Alhadji Gibson, assistant professor in Dance, and Jessica Erin Ray, associate director of the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research. It features live performances by Texas A&M Dance students that highlight the creativity and impact of Black innovators whose ideas have shaped everyday life.
Through images and contextual information, visitors are invited to explore inventions and innovations across disciplines, encouraging curiosity, learning and a deeper understanding of how these contributions continue to influence the world around us.
Performances:
Feb. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m.: Seven works choreographed by students in the Dance program.
Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon: Works by Gibson’s Houston-based dance company, Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theatre.
