KANM Student Radio Celebrates FM Broadcast Launch

KANM Student Radio celebrated a major milestone with its first FM broadcast on Jan. 30. Listeners can tune in on 106.7 FM.
The event featured a block-party-style atmosphere on the courtyard of the Liberal Arts and Arts & Humanities Building, where students broadcast three live DJ sets, decorated CDs and jammed out for the evening. The station also received a certificate of recognition from the city.
“We strive to provide programming you don’t hear on any other radio station in town,” said Nayab Warach, station manager. “Our community needs this voice and your voice on the air.”
KANM Radio is advised by Performance and Visual Studies faculty members Will Connor, Ph.D., senior lecturer; and Matthew Campbell, Ph.D., instructional associate professor.
