Creative Care Conference: Day 2
October 16, 2025 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
The Institute for Applied Creativity at Texas A&M University will host the inaugural Creative Care Conference Oct. 15-18.
The four-day event will bring together thought leaders, practitioners and students to explore arts and health. Participants will engage in talks, panels and workshops covering topics such as music therapy, arts for well-being and health communication. Interactive demonstrations will showcase innovative work from Texas A&M students and faculty.
The conference will also feature a community event highlighting care-centered projects and practices.

Opening Session with Matthew Campbell

Arts-Based Therapy Panel

– Featuring panelists Liz Maher, LPC; Anysia Palmer, MMT, MT-BC, NMT, CTP; and Kayla Kroeker, LPC.
Arts-Based Therapy Student Workshop
10:15-11 a.m. at ARCA 212 (Adams Presentation Room)
– Featuring Liz Maher (visual art therapy); Anysia Palmer (music therapy); and Kayla Kroeker (tabletop role-playing therapy).
J. Todd Frazier Keynote
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at ARCA 212 (Adams Presentation Room)
– J. Todd Frazier is the director of Houston Methodist Hospital’s System Center for Performing Arts Medicine (CPAM).
Faculty Panel
12:30-1:30 p.m. at ARCA 212 (Adams Presentation Room)
– Featuring panelists Lynn Vartan, associate professor in Music Interarts; Bryan Kim, assistant professor in Visualization; Zina Trost, associate professor in Psychological and Brain Sciences; and Junhyoung Kim, associate professor in Public Health.
