Syara Villarreal experienced a career moment just in time for graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The senior Performance Studies major directed her first musical \u2014 \u201cOrdinary Days\u201d by Adam Gwon \u2014 for her senior capstone project, calling it \u201ctruly one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPutting on a musical is no easy task, and I couldn\u2019t have done it without my incredible cast and crew, who helped bring my vision to life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is set to graduate Friday with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance Studies<\/a>. Villarreal will also be honored as a distinguished student in the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts<\/a>\u2019 Graduation Recognition Ceremony earlier in the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Villarreal said she is honored to be selected for the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWatching Performance Studies and the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts grow and develop throughout my time at A&M has been incredibly fulfilling,\u201d she said. \u201cI have enjoyed every second of my time as a student.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
