Follow this checklist to stay on track!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-do-your-research\">1. Do your research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn about our majors! The School of Performance, Visualization &amp; Fine Arts offers five <a data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3023\" href=\"https:\/\/pvfa.tamu.edu\/academics\/undergraduate-programs\/majors\/\">undergraduate programs<\/a> and 11 <a href=\"https:\/\/pvfa.tamu.edu\/academics\/undergraduate-programs\/minors\/\">minors<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/visit.tamu.edu\/\">Visit<\/a> Texas A&amp;M University and the School of Performance, Visualization &amp; Fine Arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend a recruiting event on campus or <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.tamu.edu\/psc\">in your city<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-apply-to-texas-a-amp-m-university\">2. Apply to Texas A&amp;M University<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete your application through <a href=\"https:\/\/goapplytexas.org\/\">ApplyTexas<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Coalition<\/a>. Don\u2019t worry! There are examples and instructions.&nbsp;Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/aggie.tamu.edu\/information-for\/future-students\">Aggie One Stop<\/a> website to get detailed information about the required documents, when to apply, and other important information. You do not need a portfolio as a freshman applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-important-deadlines\">Important deadlines:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-3\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>Spring 2025 \u2014 College Station<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August 1, 2024 \u2013 October 15, 2024<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>Fall 2025 \u2014 College Station<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August 1, 2024 \u2013 December 1, 2024<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-wait\">3. Wait<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Waiting is the hardest part. That&#8217;s why the <a href=\"http:\/\/admissions.tamu.edu\/Home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Office of Admissions<\/a> lets you check your application and records online through the <a href=\"https:\/\/applicant.tamu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Application Information System<\/a>. Keep in mind that it takes at least three weeks to review. Fall and summer admissions are posted by late March, and spring admissions are posted by December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-confirm-your-acceptance\">4. Confirm your acceptance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you get your acceptance packet in the mail (Whoop! Congrats!), be sure to tell us you&#8217;re coming. You can confirm your acceptance by <a href=\"https:\/\/applicant.tamu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accepting your admission offer online<\/a> or returning the admission acceptance card you receive in your packet. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.tamu.edu\/apply\/admitted-students\">admittance checklist<\/a> to make sure you are completing all the required steps and paperwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to send in your:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-6\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<ul>\n<li>AP credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CLEP credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dual-enrollment credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final transcript<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/financialaid.tamu.edu\/apply-for-aid.aspx\">Financial aid application<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housing application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Immunization records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-sign-up-for-a-new-student-conference-nbsp\">5. Sign up for a New Student Conference&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/newaggie.tamu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New Student Conferences<\/a> are a must! You will learn everything you need to work out to become an Aggie and sign up for your first semester of classes! Don\u2019t forget to bring your family. We&#8217;d love to meet them. New Student &amp; Family Programs are here to support your success as a new student.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At your NSC, you\u2019ll meet your academic advisors and learn more about your major and program.
