ART\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ART\u00e9, one of our most popular projects, is a sequence of games that teaches college-level art history learning objectives, focusing on a variety of important art movement epochs such as ancient Egypt, the Italian Renaissance, impressionist France and contemporary society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Underneath<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Bridge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Bridge project shows the power of what the LIVE Lab can do in digital re-creation. This project was developed internally to test how detailed the re-creation process can be with only the acquisition of images. Through these images, the LIVE Lab team was able to closely re-create this bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Football project entailed a pitch deck showcasing a VR-based game simulating the experience of being at a football game using an Oculus. Crafted by our 2D team, it serves as a close simulation and demonstration of the potential capabilities the lab could achieve if the project were to progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forestry Model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Forestry Model is an interactive experience made in partnership with the Texas A&M Forestry Service. The project consists of an informational website and a demo model. The model toggles between stages of deforestation and rain level, demonstrating the effect in which deforestation affects flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sailing With Geotraces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sailing With Geotraces is an educational experience made in partnership with U.S. GEOTRACES. The project consists of an informational website, a VR and PC interactive experience and a series of 360 tour videos. Players join the Geotraces team as research members. They get to perform simplified experiments and explore the ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\n\n\n\n

Shell Reality Capture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A series of reality capture models made for Shell. This project includes several digital twins of Shell facilities and an interactive viewer for the models. The client will be using these to compare facilities during different time periods and contrast the changes over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsea<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A digital re-creation of an underwater oil rig, to continue research into the digital twin technology at the LIVE Lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TEEX Reality Capture Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This was a contract made by the Texas A&M Extension Service to design a simulator for firefighter training. Throughout the project, lab employees collaborated with the organization’s members to accurately and realistically re-create their firefighter training environment without the perilous complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Variant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"An<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Variant is another popular series that began in the LIVE Lab, with one title finished and another in development. A third-person exploration puzzle game, Variant was created to assist in teaching calculus in an easily understandable way to students. It integrates calculus concepts into an immersive virtual world in which players must apply the concepts they\u2019ve learned to progress through the environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

VDD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Given to us during the onset of the COVID pandemic, Disaster Day, originally an in-person training for medical personnel, needed a rapid adaptation for remote learning. With limited time and resources, we created an immersive simulation involving Bryan-College Station news directors, simulating a meteor impact on Downtown Bryan. The success of this project has led to an ongoing collaboration with Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research at Texas A&M for a more comprehensive Virtual Disaster Day simulation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
