Join us Wednesday for a music industry discussion as part of Lyle Lovett’s fellowship with the Hagler Institute for Advanced Study. Lovett will be joined by Sean O’Malley, CEO of Regard Music, who has more than 20 years of experience in music publishing and operations, including royalty collection and distribution, licensing, data processing and systems development.
Regard Music began as a publishing administration company and has evolved into an advisory and consultation firm, working with artists and businesses to optimize both their composition and recording assets.
All are welcome to attend the event from 10:20 to 11:10 a.m. at the Black Box Theater in the Liberal Arts and Arts & Humanities Building.
Lovett is a Hagler Fellow this semester, working with students in the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts. He has visited a variety of courses, sharing his insight on songwriting, playing guitar and developing a distinctive voice, along with anecdotes from his acting career.
