SUMMARY:Karen Hillier\, 'BRAZOSbrazos'
DESCRIPTION:Karen Hillier\, Stereo Photography\n“BRAZOSbrazos” showcases professor emerita Karen Hillier’s decade-long exploration of the Brazos River bottom\, capturing its shifting beauty and complexity through stereo pinhole photography. Reynolds Gallery in the Memorial Student Center. An exhibition reception will be held on Oct. 1\, 2025.James R. Reynolds Gallery is open Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m.\, and Saturday-Sunday from noon–6 p.m.

SUMMARY:DWG Project Launch
DESCRIPTION:Postcard invitation to the opening of DW Co-op\, 1975. Private collection.Join us for the official launch of the DWG Project\, a multiyear initiative of the Texas Art Project at Texas A&M and Art This Week Productions. The project reconstructs the forgotten history of DW Gallery (Dallas\, 1975-1988)\, an artist-run space that would launch the careers of some of the most prominent artists in Texas and America. Founded by eight women who struggled to have their work shown in the mainstream Dallas art scene\, DW Gallery stood as a model of resilience\, ingenuity and collaboration. This free event welcomes students\, educators and community members to engage with DWG artists and explore how collaboration and creativity can address systemic challenges and shape meaningful change. The evening will feature demonstrations of the project’s new web resources\, a screening of highlights from the artists’ video oral histories and a roundtable discussion with DWG artists\, including Linnea Glatt\, Ann Stautberg and Ellen Soderquist. A reception will follow at the J. Wayne Stark Galleries in the Memorial Student Center. The DWG Project is supported by a grant from Humanities Texas and support from Texas A&M University Libraries\, the Center of Digital Humanities Research\, the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research\, the College of Performance\, Visualization and Fine Arts and private donors.
