Third Coast Percussion: ‘Murmurs in Time’
October 1 @ 7:00 pm – 8:45 pm
Presented by the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, this concert features Third Coast Percussion, a Grammy-winning percussion quartet and composer collective. The group will be joined by Salar Nader, a renowned tabla virtuoso and disciple of composer Zakir Hussain, to present this event as a tribute to Hussain’s legacy. This major new work combines the beauty and complexity of Hindustani classical music with the singular sound of a percussion ensemble.
