Screening and Discussion of ‘The Secret Agent’

The Performance and Visual Studies program presents this free screening of the 2025 Oscar-nominated film “O Agente Secreto” (“The Secret Agent”). A discussion will follow on the cultural and formal elements of the film’s production, distribution and reception, led by faculty members Leo Cardoso, Patricia Stout and Rusty Hatchell. 

The film was written and directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, and stars Wagner Moura. It earned multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival and became the second Brazilian film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
